Boars for producing fattening piglets
The current classification systems for fattening pigs demand careful selection of true-to-type, meaty and stress-resistant terminal sires. For Hülsenberg Breeding Pig customers who obtain sperm from terminal sires from GFS Ascheberg an optimised selection index is drawn up on the basis of GFS progeny testing (top genetic testing) and updated after each breeding value estimation run. Participants respond to current developments by checking the selection criteria three times a year.
